Q1. What is a Search and Recruitment Service?
Search and Recruitment is the process by which a search firm, which is licensed by the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare, introduces qualified individuals to companies that are searching to fill a position.
Q2. What size companies are welcome to use this service?
We are happy to assist all companies of all sizes. We have extensive experience with placing candidates in large corporations, mid-sized companies and small businesses.
Q3. What is the difference between a Search Firm and a Temporary Staffing Agent?
Temporary Staffing Agents offer the client company a temporary employee for a set period of time. Contracts are held between the client company and the Temporary Staffing Agent and between the Temporary Staffing Agent and the temporary employee. According to these contracts, the period, in which the employee will work, will vary in length.
In this situation, there is no employment contract between the client company and the temporary employee. We do not provide temporary staff service.
Our service and Search and Recruitment service, allows the client company to have a direct contract with the employee.
This employee will enter into a contract with the client company before commencing work at the client company.
Search and Recruitment services simply provide the introduction of a qualified candidate. We do not have any contract with the candidate.
Q4. Is it required to hold a license to operate a Search and Recruitment firm in Japan?
Yes, it is. The Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare requires all Search and Recruitment Firms to possess a license before providing such a service.
Q5. Does your company have this license?

Q6. How long have you been operating in Japan? Does your company have other qualifications?

Q7. What is your fee structure?
Fundamentally, our service is on a contingent basis. In the case of contingent services, the client company is only charged when a candidate, that we have introduced, is successfully hired. The fee itself is equivalent to a certain predetermined percentage that is multiplied by the annual starting salary of the placed individual.
In the event you wish to receive a retainer-based service, allowing you to hire suitable personnel with a higher probability, we are also capable of fulfilling your request.

Q8. What if the person we hire resigns shortly after they have joined our company?
In the event that the recruited individual leaves the company due to their own reasons, Oaks International will provide a refund to the client company, according to the contract. If you would like to learn more about the refund system, please feel free to contact one of our consultants.
Q9. Why would we choose this service? Wouldn't other methods of advertising be cheaper?
Search and Recruitment service is far superior to advertising methods in several ways.
One example of why Search and Recruitment service is paramount is the fee structure. With regards to advertising, client companies will always have to pay a fee to the newspaper or internet site, regardless of whether or not a candidate is actually hired. On the other hand, using our search services on a contingent basis, the client company will only be charged when they have successfully hired a candidate.
Another example is that most executives do not look for opportunities in advertising. Some are too busy with their current position that they are unable to search for openings on the web or the newspaper. We are able to offer these previously unavailable candidates attractive openings at your companies. We utilize a variety of methods to contact these individuals and ensure that they are the best qualified. Following this, we will designate a contact person, in both our firm and in your company, and advise you on the results of our own internal meeting, where we will discuss your company's searches in depth. Q14. Do you only search for Japanese companies?
Our list of clients includes both Japanese companies and foreign companies. In fact, around 80% of our client companies are with foreign capital.
Q15. How would I go about changing the search requirements, altering the job description,
or canceling the request for the search?
